Can anyone help me figure out why the graphics on my webpage are not showing
up on the "remote" site? Everything looks good on my local computer, but
anyone else viewing it can't see anything.

I am using FP 2003 and I have published the entire site, just the folder
with the images and synched-up the site...

I'm hoping there's a simple answer so I don't have to go back and re-insert
all the images (there are LOTS).

The URL is http://www.rdolson.com/webcams_index.htm
Thanks!

The site is

Because they are pointing to a file on your pc hard drive, not the web:

file:///P:/Web/RDO_Website/webcams/Titles/title_multi_comp.gif

With your FP web open, you must File | Import the images into your web
before inserting on a page and saving, then publish to your remote web.

Open the page on the live/remote site in IE, then select an image, right click, select properties,
and you will see that your images are point back to a local drive, as in:

file:///P:/Web/RDO_Website/webcams/Hotel/menu_seavillas1.gif

This normal is a result of not have a web / site open when working on a page or not having imported
the image into the current open FP web / site before using.

It appears you did not save your page before you inserted the graphics;
therefore, your graphic file locations are all pointing to your hard drive...

Not quite accurate. See Tom Rowe's and my replies.

Thank you all for the info.
OK, I can now understand what caused the problem (from now on I will be sure
to have the pictures in my web before inserting them in a page...

If I understand correctly, the import directions below are what I should
have done, not what I can do now to fix it right? Is there anyway to fix this
now, or do I have to re-insert all the photos?

You'll need to save the images into the web (or import them) - then you could
do a global find and replace on that page, just to replace the hard drive
location with the newly located location.

Do a search and replace on the page in HTML / Code View to correct the path to the actual folder
location within the web. First replace one image using the insert image function, so that you know
what path to replace with.

Thank you again!
I'll give this a try.
