When I try to download a game this is the error I get,Cannot find valid
graphics mode. This may be due to video card being inadequate. I can play
online version of game without a problem.I have Windows XP. Can anyone help

Do you really mean "download", or perhaps "play, once I've downloaded and
installed"?

Well, IS your graphics card adequate? Compare the system requirements of the
game to what you have in your system.
I can play online version of game without a problem.I have Windows
XP. Can anyone help

Not without some detail, really. Required spec for the online version may
well differ from that for the installable version. As you don't seem to want
to tell us what game this is, you'll have to do the looking up.

Do you have onboard graphics [incorporated with the motherboard], or do you
have a seperate graphics card installed?

Not sure, then click on the start button then the Run button type dxdiag
click on OK

Once the program starts up click on 'Save All Information', save to desktop

Open the saved text file, the default name for the file is DxDiag, copy and
paste the information regarding your display properties under the heading

'Display Devices' and post back here for us to see the results and you may
get a better response to your query.

Only copy up to the line as I have shown below as the rest is not needed to
help answer your problem
