Graphics don't show in design view!

For some strange reason, once I go into a folder on my site to edit a page
live, the graphics on the page fail to show when in Design view. If I change
to Preview they sometimes will and sometimes won't show. Very puzzling and
frustrating! I've searched high and low for some silly setting which might be
turned off but cannot find anything. Anybody have a suggestion?

Run the functions that clear:
The Hidden Temporary files.
The Hidden Cache (*.web) files.

Nope. That didn't work. I've now tried to repair the install using the
original disc, but that didn't work either. Interestingly enough, the
graphics show just fine on the net!

Check the FrontPage server extension on the site.
