**** Graphics card

HI!
I bought a Geforce 4 ti 4200 and almost every time i play
a game the graphics card displays weird colors on the
screen and locks up. (SEE PICTURE
www.windywest.com/graphicscard.jpg)
I have to turn off the power and back on again for it to
work. Any suggestions? This has been bugging me for a
LONG time..

Have you checked the temperatures inside the case when it fails? The
card may be getting too hot so you will see the wierd colors. Also the
power supply may be getting too hot or not able to provide sufficient
power when the graphics card is heavily used.
 
You can delete all nvidia drivers/software,reboot,then
go to windows update.Windows drivers,and installation
works pretty good,but for it to install you need to
delete any of current,you can always re-install nvidias
drivers/software.
 
it can crash from 30 degees celsuis to 55 degrees
celsuis...once it seems to get going it is ok...but at
first it is really bad.
