What kind of monitor, have you checked the card manufacturer's web site for
the latest drivers? Don't assume the drivers that came with the card are
the latest because video drivers are updated frequently and it is not
unusual for new drivers to be available by the time you install a new card.
If that doesn't resolve it, try the monitor on a different system, if it
works fine, you may have a problem with the card, contact the card
manufacturer's tech support or take the card back to where you got it and
replace it with a different card. If it doesn't work fine, the monitor may
be going bad.
