Hi all
Well my problem is i just went and bought a Acer Aspire T180 with 32-bit
Vista home basic alrdy installed on to it , well i set it up and everything
was goign okay intill i installed a game onto it and after about 2hrs
playing i got a Message that popped up as "A problem with your Video Hardware
Caused Windows to Stop Working Correctly" the computer came with Nvidia
Geforce 6100
I have tried to uninstall the driver and dl a newer one but the problem is
still going stong :( my Screen flashes black and is frozen for about 1 min
or 2 then resumes but come s back after acouple mins.

my computer has 2gigs in it witha AMD Anthlon(tm) 64 Processor 3800+
2.40GHz 32-bit Operation System 160GB SATA hard drive , 7200RPM,

Thanks for all the help in advance and sry if its been asked but i would
rather ask the community cuz all problems are unique for the most part

The nVidia GeForce 6100 graphics chip is not one of the all time gaming
greats. Reduce the detail and resolution in the game options, and think
about installing a better graphics card if gaming is your main thing..

If the problem is only happening with games which put a very heavy load on a
graphics chip then I suspect that the chip is overheating which causes a
temporary failure which it recovers from after it cools off.

I have onboard 6100 graphics which is now overridden by a 6600 in the PCI-e
slot..

The 6100 constantly crapped out while playing heavy games, and is noted for
not being a particularly good gaming chip.. it may well overheat, but
whatever, it is best to replace it if gaming..

As much as I dislikeVista overheating while playing games is a common
problem.
Taking off the side panel of the computer when playing games often solves
the problem.
However a better solution is to improve air flow through the box so that it
may run cooler for all uses.

The 6100 chip crashed out in XP.. it simply isn't a good gaming chip..
