i bought the radeon club x1950xtx for my scaleo p but when i try to install
the drivers with the cdrom i get (inf error video driver not found)can
someone please tell me if i can resolve this and how to thanks rich.

The installation of ATI video drivers sometimes requires a clean uninstall of
the previous drivers. I don't know what video card you were previously using
but you should have uninstalled the associated video drivers before
installing the new drivers from your cdrom. After the uninstall and reboot,
you will be prompted by XP to install drivers. Do not run your cdrom yet.
Respond cancel to all requests. Next look at the device manager and you
should see yellow question marks for the video adapter. If so, now run the
installation from your cdrom and reboot as prompted. Again, look at your
video adapter through device manager and your 1950 card should show without
any yellow or red colors. Note that the installation of the new drivers
will remove the driver for your CRT or LCD monitor. You can let Windows XP
search for the driver or use Windows/Microsoft Update to provide the driver
by using Custom instead of Express and looking at hardware updates. Also,
ATI requires that you install Microsoft Net Framework 2.0 to support the ATI
Catalyst Control Center. In the future, you can update your drivers via the
ati.com site. Make sure the drivers support your particular video card.
Good luck.
