I built a new pc a few months ago and I haven't upgraded the graphics
card yet. I have used the on board graphics and it's been OK, but I want
to play games with higher detailed graphics but with the on board
graphics it sucks and some games don't play at all.
A NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti or better is required for one of the games but does
anyone know what high end graphics cards like NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti or
better works with a foxconn 6100 K8MA-RS mobo
cheers

Tell us how many dollars you have to spend, so we can suggest something
appropriate. If you say you have $50, then that won't be "high end".
If you mention a dollar figure, we can suggest a card, and what "end"
it occupies.
If you think you're going to be sucked into "Vista and DX10" at some
point in the near future, that can play a part in the decision too.
This is as close as I can get to a specs page for the motherboard.

PCI Express x16 video cards - 456 entries total, from $29 to fan cooled 8800ultra for $730
Some of the even more expensive cards are for certified OpenGL, and nothing to do with
gaming as such.

Depending on the card selected, you might benefit from a different choice in
a power supply. The mid range cards can probably use your existing supply.
If you have your eye on something expensive, please specify make and model
(or better yet a URL to the product spec page) for your existing power supply.
There are some performance charts here.

There are a couple sites that give clocks and hardware characteristics.

This card is $134 and is pretty high up the chart on Tomshardware.
Sapphire used to be a good brand, but check the reviews to see how
many of these croaked. Some previous generation Nvidia cards might be
nicer, but they've disappeared from retail and have been replaced by
newer cards. It is hard to buy enough card, to plan for the games
that are just coming out, which is why knowing your plans and budget
is important. For DX10, it would be better to reach for the high end
(8800GTS or 8800GTX), to be prepared. Some of the other levels of cards,
end up giving a slide show with new games. This card is DX9, so is not
planning "for the future". It is also better than anything I own
