graphic problem

I have had this problem for about 2 weeks now. My windows
messenger gets black kind of choppy edges around the
icons.They appear round the messenger himself, around the
send instant messagesend files ect.My contacts little
messenger guys get this too, so I guess its everything
graphic within my windows messenger box. If I reboot , it
goes away, it can reappear after my computer has been in
use for several hours, then I have to reboot to get rid
of it. Any ideas??
I have windows xp
Nvidia card, which has had a few updates in the last year

I have a similar problem, only that mine doesn't go away when I reboot. The problem started after my last update for the Nvidia Graphics Card. I got the latest update from the Windows update. So, it was something that the last update did to the desktop display. returning to the previous driver will not solve the problem. If you find a solution, let me know.

Listen, I rolled back to the previous Nvidia driver dated 7/28/2003 and Windows Messenger was restored. so, you can try this and see if you have the same luck.

gone now but my windows seem to open up,downloadand just
plain run a whole lot faster!!! I thought there was
something terribly wrong with my computer,it seems now it
was the last Nvidia driver update that was causing my
problems.Thank You for helping!!!
