update the driver. go to the website that made your
graphics card, or if its built in to the motherboard,
then go to that website. search for the appropriate
driver then download it, and install it. uninstall your
old driver first though. right before you install your
new one. right after you uninstall the old one, reboot,
then install the new one. remember to make a restore
point before uninstalling anything.

I have Pentium 4 Toshiba Satellite 1900 and model is
PS192C-00UWN.
Thanks problem
start/controlpanel/system/devicemanager/displayadapter

write down what it says you have. that should be the
type of card you have. check it with the documentation
you got with your computer. it should tell you there.
that would be the best way. go to the website and search
for a new driver. download the newest one and it will
more than likely install when you open it. as soon as
you download it and before installing it, uninstall your
old one and restart your computer. it should have
instructions in the readme part of the file if you right
click it then hit explore and search for it. probably
have to restart your comp. remember to make a restore
point before you do anything, just in case. :)

Could i please know how exactly i should do this?
Thanks and
check for updated
.
i checked your computer out online, it says it has an
ati device driver installed. go to ati website(search
ati in google is easiest), and search for a new driver
for the model graphics(video)card that is installed.
then do what i said in the other posts. it should work.
i had to do the same thing yesterday. :)

Hi, how am I supposed to determine which website i should
go to or where has made graphics card for my computer.
also how do i uninstall and reinstall? Could you please
be specific on that.
Thanks

go to control panel on your comp. open, and then open
the system icon. it should have a hardware tab up top,
click that. then go to device manager tab in the middle
of the page. when thats open it will have a bunch of
items with + signs by them. about the third from the
top is one called display adapter. if you right click
that one, it will say uninstall. thats how you uninstall
it.
i checked your comp online and it says you have an ati
driver installed. go to the ati website (search ati in
google) and go to the site.
check your documentation for the name/make/model of your
graphics card. then search the site for the driver. it
should have an area with drivers on it. www.ati.com is
the site. up top it says drivers and software. go to
that page. then you will click windows xp to select your
os. then graphics driver is what your looking for.
click that. then it says radeon family, rage pro family,
rage 128 family, and rage 128 pro family. those are the
graphics cards they have drivers for. from your
documentation, you should know what card you have. then
click whichever one you need and click go. then just
download it, put it into a folder. when its done, then
uninstall your old driver, restart, then hit the file you
just downloaded. it will put it in the right place for
you. if you need more help, just email me so i dont have
to go through microsoft newsgroup. that would be
easier. :)
