Hi
I'm on a radeon8500le (9100), dx9.0b, ca4.2ati, pc133 512ram, duron 1.6,
winxp.
I'm using 3dsmax 5. I can see a lot of corruption in viewports when building
a rather simple model (peugeot 406). I'm using Direct3D >DX8 driver.
Corruption is like big triangles where they not supposed to be. Like an edge
of "green z-axis arrow" sometimes expands into a big green shaded polygon.
Also some flickering and flashing occurs when moving or rotating view.

Model is NOT complex, maybe 800-900 polys yet.

Anyone using 3dsmax5 with cat4.2?
Suggestions?

TIA

I'm using the combination mentioned above, but I have a R9700 card and
no problems. As for the suolution to your problem try switcing to OpenGL
instead and check your cards freqencys. It sounds like OC-ing or
overheating.

Yeah, it's oc'ed to 255/250 instead of 250/250. But i don't think that
should stress the card so much. However i'll give opengl a shot and let you
know.

It works better in OpenGL. Don't know why direct3d suffers..

Bad driveres :(

Catalyst are good for games, but for professional apps you should use
FireGL drivers.

FireGl drivers work on Radeon cards? Besides, i don't work too much, i'm a
learner, and i play games a lot :)
