I want to use the & function to be able to produce a combined title; on
part being non-changing text e.g. "Percentages of", and the other bein
text which is in cells of different workbook sheets ---- such a
"computers" which could be cell a1 in sheet 1, "printers" which coul
be in a1 of sheet 2, etc. The graph needs to be pie-chart. It doe
not appear that the & function will work with a graph. Is thi
correct? Is there anyway for me to accomplish this? Thanks :cool

Only indirectly. You need to do the concatenation in a worksheet cell
somewhere, then link the chart title to the cell, by doing the following:

1. Select the edge of the chart title
2. Click in Excel's formula bar
3. Select the cell containing the text to display in the chart title
