Hello all...

I am setting up a member server (as a TS ultimatley)

and am having trouble adding domain users access to its resources.

When I go into Computer Management, and try to add a domain user/group
to the REMOTE DESKTOP USERS group, I only have the option of adding
users local to that machine. if I try and add something like the
following:

DOMAIN-NAME\specific-user

It can not find the user.

There is an option (when I add a user to a group) ; FROM THIS
LOCATION...

But the only location I can add is from the local machine. Domain (or
AD) is not an option.

So when I share a directory, how am I to assign Domain users access?

How is this done on a member server.?

Thanks,
Dekkar

Hi Dekkar,

Have you already joined that server in the domain? If not,
then do it and try again.

As the other post says, sounds like this is not a member server yet - just a
standalone server.

Either that, or you're having some DNS or AD problems.

Not to mention that you don't manage domain Users and Groups through Computer
Management.
Try ADUC.

I totally missed that part.
