Graininess?

Not strictly MM but maybe someone here could answer.
Have some video clips taken indoors with an analogue camcorder and saved via
Matrox capture card as MPEG2.
The video is grainy and lacks definition.
Can MM improve this and if so how?
I also have access to Premiere Elements, would that be better?
Answers appreciated.

IMHO...low resolution video is just that and
no editing program is going to improve it.

I'm afraid John is right. Any colour correction or adjustments to levels
will only add more grain.
 
I agree with them both but you have one hope if the video on the camcorder
is NOT grainy you may be able to capture again with different settings or
different software.
