Here's a simple pracatical query. Using 2008 Express. Working with gradients
(which are much easier to implement with vb.net, I note).
If I colour a form normally in properties and then put labels on it, the
background colour of the labels is the same as the form, ie I normally get
black type directly onto the colour form (which is what I want). OK so far.
But if I arrange a gradient, to produce a snazzy form (works perfectly on
the form) I then find the labels have a greyish background superimposed on
the gradient. I can't seem to stop this whatever properties I change. I
used to use transparent in vb6. I've read all the notes on the changes to
that feature, but no success. I wonder if this is a shortcoming in Express?
