GradientActiveTitle & GradientInactiveTitle, useless?

Are these two registry values left over from what used to be gradient
title bars?

GradientActiveTitle

GradientInactiveTitle

If so, is there some way to enable gradient title bars in Windows 8?

I'm not hopeful, just double checking. Thanks.
