gradient colors in charts

I am having a hard time matching pp2003 gradient chart colors to pp2007.
Previous standard was med dark to med light graduation of the same color.
Now I cannot specific start and end colors

I found the gradients in 2007 extremely frustrating until I read Echo's
article and realised they're much better
