When I have a bunch of files to download GrabIt only does 3 at a time,
even though I have 4 or more boxes selected on the Batch screen.

Can I correct this on my PC (how?) or is it set by my ISP?

Thanks for any help.

If you're ok with it, check the part of the registry where it stores its
settings.

Right click on the server name in the left panel, select "Properties" and
set "Maximum allowed connections" to what you want.

If you use more than one server, do the same for each.

It depends on your ISP and how many feeds they allow at a time. Mine
(RR) say they only allow 3 feeds at a time, but I have been able to push
it to a few more on occasion. It really depends on the time of day.
Even when I bump it up to 4 or 5 I have to keep an eye on it to to make
sure that I am able to connect. One way to check is when you are
downloading, try and check another box.

Thanks for the replies.

Maximum allowed connections was/is set to 8. My ISP (Roadrunner) says
they have no limit to the number of feeds. I had all 8 boxes checked
but only 3 showed download activity. The others would disconnect if
checked.

The GrabIt setting for connections in the registry showed 8. Is there
another place to look?

Why don't you ask at the GrabIt forum? You realize, I trust, that there is
no practical reason to be grabbing eight at a time. You'll get just as many
bytes with, say, four at a time and each will complete faster.
