to comunicate with a GPS receiver?

If you go to my website (Software Downloads), you can download DecodeGPS.dll
(free). There also are several examples that illustrate its use. I have
more detailed information in my book. See below.

www.opennetcf.org has a great open source gps library.

(I know because I wrote the initial contirbution).

And not forgetting the MS managed wrapper for Windows Mobile 5 devices,
which can be found here:

C:\Program Files\Windows CE Tools\wce500\Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC
SDK\Samples\Cs

Assuming you have installed the Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK in the usual place
(if at all).

Also if you google for NMEA you will find lots of stuff detailing the GPS
output strings.
