How do you set these up in Active Dir? I can do a member
server and just use the local group snap-in, setup up the
groups, add the members, and I can manage them. But when
I try to create it through active dir, it never works.
Here's what I'm doing. Through Active Directory Users
and Computers, I select the domain, select properties,
then the Group Policy tab. Once that opens, I see the
default, but not the groups that I created in AD. If I
try create a new GPO say "Sales" and also create one in
AD named "Sales", it never shows the members that I have
in that group. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the help,

Chris

Ok Chris. The concept of aplying GPO's in Ad is slightly different. First
you have to create an OU (Organizational Unit) and place user accounts
tehere (or computer accounts). Next right-click ou and select GPO's tab.
Create new policy and define all settings. Computer Settings in GPO will
apply to Computer Objects, Users Settings in GPO will apply to users objects
in that particular OU. This are the basics. Please read white paper on GPOS
located at
