Is there a way to force a program (an executable) to run via a GPO, when a
machine is idle for a determined set of time (say, 30 minutes)?

Any helps or suggestions on this will be appreciated.
Thanks,

No, but you can schedule a task to do that.

Thanks for the answer. Can a scheduled task you mentioned be set to run on
machines via a GPO? We want to have this set on a bunch of machines in
several OUs and we do not want to set a scheduled task on each machines
separately. The task will be the same for all machines.
