W2k3 domain, XP & 2000 clients
There are occasions where it takes random clients a couple reboots to get
established policy settings. I am not talking about getting new policy
changes, I am talking about established policy settings whereby one day the
computer gets the setting and the next day, they client does not have the
same functionality.
There is no pattern to this, it happens to xp or 2000 clients and is very
random. One user may have the issue one day, and then a couple hours later,
or after a reboot or 2 they are fine.
I have a fast network with fiber gbit backbone, spread over a couple city
blocks. THere are no logon or resouce access issues (slowness, etc).
When I run Rsop on the XP machines, before they reboot to try and fix the
problem, they all show that the correct policies applied. That's the weird
part.
Any suggestions as to what can cause these issue?
Thanks
