if i enable/disable a setting in GPO , if i put it back to not configured
will it really not be configured. So if its not configured no regkey is
made, if enabled is selected a 1 is put in and disable is 0, or vice versa.
so, will it be not confgiured?

It will revert to the setting which was in place before your GPO was applied, or, in case there are other GPOs affecting this user/computer, to the setting determined by a combination of these other GP objects.

enabled. I changed it back to Not Configured, ran GPUpdate on the
system, restarted and I still cannot disable the Firewall on that
system.
