I created a policy. It seems to work when I move the user
account from the users container to the appropriate OU.
But when I create a global group within that OU add the
test user to the global group, the policy does not work.
Please help.

Chris,

Please see my posts earlier in the week concerning this. This is a very
common question.

Make sure your group is a SECURITY group and NOT a
distribution group!

For this to work, try creating a new LOCAL DOMAIN SECURITY
group, make the test user part of this group and then re
test your GPO.

Ihab,

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you. This will not work. It does not
matter what type of group it is ( but you are correct in that if you wanted
to use Group Filtering then it would have to be a security group ).

Ihab,

This is exactly the point. The user account object ( or computer account
object ) must be directly residing in the OU to which the GPO is linked.
Now I can agree with you!
