Hi All

In the last few months the network that I look after has suddenly grown and
in the past I have not bothered with setting policies up with the system but
as more and more people are using computers on our network I need to start
locking down and limiting access but I get confused with GPOs and Domain
Security. Is there any helpful websites that talk through what can and can't
be done and useful practices to adopt.

At the moment I have employees set as DOMAIN USERS but as we are a printers
this doesn't allow them to add printers or add fonts so this is the first
thing I need to add but not sure how to do this.

Cheers
Paul

I would recommend you take a look at Mastering Windows Server 2003 by Mark
Minasi. It covers Windows 2000 Server as well and is a great book.

Group Policy is fairly complex. Once you've learnt how it works it's fine,
but there's a lot you can break if you're not sure of what you're doing.
