I created a GPO attached to my domain to set up logon
environment, mostly map connections. It does work fine
with WIN2K but Windows98 workstation do not process this
GPO. I remember reading a while back that I needed to
install something to the Windows98 workstation. Is that
correct and what is it?

Thanks

GPOs only affect Win2K and higher versions. If there is a workaround, I
don't know...

Jimmy is correct, GPO's only apply to Windows 2000 and above. Even with
the DSCLIENT installed that does not add support for GPOs. For NT and 9x
system policies you are stuck with POLEDIT and NTCONFIG.POL or CONFIG.POL.

On Windows 9x machines you would have to use a logon script to do the drive
mappings.

Thank you both of you, I was effrayed of that. To add a
login script to a win98 PC I would need to add this script
to the user "User Profile" or the "Environment"

Thanks,
