GPO/AD Can't log on Issue

Cannot view GPO or AD - installed latest HFxs - same issue

Event ID 1000
Source Userenv

Windows cannot access the registry information at
\\clearant.com\SysVol\xxx.com\Policies\{6FAF25EC-DA43-4456-
AD74-C9C13A266CE2}\Machine\registry.pol with (1385).

Can't even log onto mmc AD or GPO consoles
..

When I use tip 161 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsiinc.com to type net
helpmsg 1385, it returns:

Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this
computer.
