Just moving my setup to a roomier case and when I try to boot all I get is
an CPU Overclocking Failure message and it won't post at all. I tried
resetting the cmos but it didn't seem to help. I wore my anti-static
bracelet and took all the usual precautions but this is my first install
into an aluminum case and I'm wondering if there are any other sort of
grounding issues that are different from a normal case and maybe I fried
something... other than that I just can't think of a reason anything would
have gotten shorted out.

Recently motherboards are more sensitive to RAM, grounding, cabling,
even with HSF connecting not at designed plug.

Sometimes, when I clean the tower case, and just put back the motherboard,
it doesn't boot. Therefore, you may need to reseat everything. Loose the
screws, and lightly shake or move motherboard sideways a little bit,
and re-seat all cards. That may help your PC work again.

Good luck.
