GoogleToolbarNotifier

I have had the Google Toolbar for years without any problems. I also have
WinPatrol to help me block off unwanted programs/bad spywares etc.

A couple of days ago came this GoogleToolbarNotifier blocked by WinPatrol
and seeking permission to enter as a new auto Startup Program. I have been
rejecting it always, but it keeps coming back every few minutes.

It has become quite an annoyance. How can I get rid of this notification?
And what is it anyway? Is it of any use or good?

have to reinstall the google toolbar to get this update.
