I doubt it is blocking google but if you have or have had
malware that messed with your hosts file you might
actually being going to a bad site and not google.
Get the hoster from:
www.funkytoad.com/download/hoster.zip
Unpack to your desktop and run it. Select Restore
Original Hosts.
Then just for good luck:
Get DelDomain.inf from:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/restricted.htm and then
right click on it and Install.
You can also go straight to google by using the ip address:
http://216.239.57.99
If that works but google.com doesn't work after cleaning
the hosts file then you may have a DNS hijack where the
normal DNS is replaced by a fake one.
Get HijackThis.exe from
http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/hjt199//HijackThis.exe
Save it to C:\hjt (new folder) then Open it and select
Scan and Save Log. Note where you saved the log then
send it to me as an attachment. Put Hijack in the subject
so I'll know it's not spam.
