I had a virus the other day and after following the instructions to
eliminate this virus I cannot get the google toolbar to respond. When I do
try all I get is an error message saying "cant find server". Is there
anyway to uninstall the toolbar then reinstall?

Hi,

You system might be infected by Trojan.Qhosts trojan. This will modify the
TCP/IP settings to point to a different DNS server

Trojan.Qhosts Removal Tool

Since your google program reports the names of the web sites you visit to the
google co. (as described on the google toolbar web page) your virus software
probably mistook the google toolbar as spyware...I am just guessing but hey.

as far as how to fix it....dunno.

SpyBot, AdAware and McAfee have not detected the Google
toolbar on the several computers I have or others of
friends.
