Google Toolbar 2.0 useful?

If anyone has tried the new Google Toolbar 2.0 download, have they found it useful?

I'm especially interested in the password/login feature. I have Roboform, but the 30 site cutoff of the trial
edition is too limiting. I like Roboform's autofill popup feature, as well.

Thanks.

I like it, but I don't have the "advanced features" enabled nor do I use it
for passwords. The form fill tool is handy and works most the time, but I
mainly use it as a popup blocker and search engine access.

I second that, it's quite good.Good popup blocker.

Simplest pop-up stopper going, great for access to google's other features,
the 'up' button is a really useful tool too.

Highly recommended :-)

I've been using it quite a while on XP and like it very much. I use popup
blocker, the highliter, the "search in Usenet" (newsgroups by topic) and
"search this site" when I am on a site and the filler inner too. No
problems with it.

Trouble is there are a million out there, mostly containing spyware, or
install themselves without asking, so selling one is like selling a
sweet-smelling turd.

Thanks, Susan. I went to the site, and both links took me to versions of RoboForm which limit entries to 30.
I don't know if that's considered crippled or not. I may also have not looked for the correct program link.

It's a bit hard to find - that's why ACF's web page says:

(Use the link below to download the uncrippled version):

download v 4.6.8 (AiRoboForm-4-6-8.exe) (740 KB)
http://www.roboform.net/dist/AiRoboForm-4-6-8.exe

I've been using this version of RoboForm for a couple years. A while
back it stopped saving new password entries, though it still works just
fine filling out forms for me. I went to the edit passcards menu and
counted 31 entries. Is there a limit to the number of entries this
version will save? Is something screwed up? Is there another program I
can download that can do the same thing without limitations? It sure
would be nice to be able to save new passwords again...

Hello Bob,

Are you certain you have v 4.6.8?

There was/is some confusion about the last uncrippled version of
AiRoboForm.

A work-around has been posted for crippled versions - IIRC it involves
creating additional folders - Google the ACF archives for more info - or
perhaps some kind soul will repost the necessary info.

AFAIK if you have v 4.6.8 you should be able to save more than 30 passwords.

Q: RoboForm used to be free and now it asks to upgrade to the Pro. What
is going on?
A: Free version of RoboForm has certain limitations starting with
version 5.0.0, most significant of them are: (i) you can have 30
passcards or less in free version, (ii) you can have 3 identities or
less in free version.

How to get around these limitations:
* Downgrade to version 4.6.8 that has no limit on number of passcards.
Note that newer ver 5.2.x has more features and less bugs than ver 4.6.8.

Q: How can I revert to the old version of RoboForm?
A: You can get these older versions: (N.B. download links HERE)
* AiRoboForm-4.6.8
* AiRoboForm-4.3.7
Please note that versions 4-6-8 and 4-3-7 will not be able to read
Passcards and Identities created by RoboForm ver 5+. When you downgrade
to ver 4-6-8 or 4-3-7, your Identities and Passcards will revert to the
state they were in before you upgraded to ver 5+.

A million of what are out there? Toolbars like Goggle's?

Anyway, as a conclusion, I decided against installing the Google Toolbar, and am using the last uncrippled version
of Roboform, which Susan B. suggested in another post. I mostly wanted a form filler.
