I am running XP Pro with three users set up.

I log in with Admin rights and everything works fine. My wife logs in as a
Power user and can't use Google. The Google search page will open and she
can type in a search phrase. When she hits the search button, nothing
happens. MSN search will work fine.

I am firewalled and fully up to date with AV protection and all MS patches
and service packs. I have looked around on the net for a solution and have
found many people asking for help with this same problem, but no solutions.
It isn't a virus and Google isn't down. It has to be her profile either
corrupt or a setting. I am not alone with this problem. Has anyone ever
solved it?

I would appriciate any suggestions

Hi,
It's possible that malware (adware, parasite, spyware) has infected only
that user account.
Start with BHODemon http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm The
problem may simply be a bad BHO.

Then work through the solutions ([1]CWShredder, [2]Ad-aware, [3]Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

If unsuccessful with those programs, you may have to post a HijackThis log
for analysis. Start at
http://forum.aumha.org/viewtopic.php?t=4075 Then go to
http://www.aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm Work through the preliminary cleaning
steps then post a HijackThis log to the forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/viewforum.php?f=30

Be patient. It's a busy forum at times.
