Hi guys,
strange thing has happened when using IE7, in the address bar the normal
icon square with the 'G' in has changed to a circle with looks like with two
oblong holes one at each side( like a set of eyes) with a black tube poking
out at 22.5 degrees from each one. Any idea what they are, or what is
causing it
Thanks for your help
Regards
Bob

Try clearing the cache...

To clear your cache in IE7:
1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options... .
2. Choose the General tab.
3. Under Browsing history, click Delete.
4. Next to "Temporary Internet Files", click Delete files.
5. Click Close, and then click OK to exit.

Then refresh the ShellIconCache...

To force a full refresh of ShellIconCache:
Right-click the desktop, choose Properties, click the Appearance tab,
click the Advanced button. In the list of items, select Icon. The Size
is probably set to 32 (the default). Change it to 33 and click Apply.
Windows will sort of gray out for a bit and then come back. Now change
the icon size back to 32 and click OK - again it will gray and come
back.

This has forced a complete refresh of the ShellIconCache. IF the problem
was related to that cache being corrupted in some way, this will fix it.
Caution, this will also realign all your icons on your desktop.

Bob,

He doesn't send it from my email address. This is Usenet, not email. He
merely puts my email address in the from field of his post and uses a Usenet
server that doesn't care. It's like putting a false return address on an
envelope and dropping it in a mailbox. The idea is to have those who don't
know better think it was posted by me, or whomever else he is angry at.
