I urge you to do some reading up on this program
(ironically, a "Google" search) and then thank your lucky
stars that you have been unable to apply.

Hotmail *already* scans our email messages as it tries to filter out spam-
Google would be doing the same sort of automated scan I believe, although
for a slightly different purpose. Here's a "so what" article about the way
Gmail will work:

I think Gmail will be really handy for exchanging large files with others,
even though other alternatives already exist. This one, for instance:

Ian.

I quite agree with barney.

I believe that one American state is already taking action against Google as
their system breaches personal privacy. It is certainly unacceptable under
European Union data protection law. While the account holder may give his
agreement to his outgoing messages being read by Google, he cannot give this
for anyone writing to him or for the recipient of outgoing messages.

Google are not going to be able to get away with this.

I got invited because I have a blogspot blog. I suspect that signing up
for a blog there would result in getting an invitation. (Given when you're
about to sign onto your blog.)

They are not sending out anymore Blogger invitations. Only the active
bloggers were invited. I hadn't updated my blog in quite a while so I
was not invited.

That looks interesting. I wonder if one could put a file there and
then post the download info in a news post ? If one could then we
would have somewhere for the PL ISO for at least 7 days. :-)
