Google Fill in Fields Question

Every visitor to your site will have to turn off the feature in Google
toolbar. I, for one, don't have it on, so I don't see the yellow.

|I have a form I'm working on that has lots of text boxes. I know that
| Google will yellow the fields that it can fill in. My question is what
| it fills in is not what the fields are. They are named fairly typical.
| Any clues on how to fix this?

Turn *off* the appropriate features in Google Toolbar. It has an auto
fill-in feature.
It's not doing it to the web, it's doing it on *your* computer.

| Tom,
| What its doing is filling the email field with the address .. that sort
| of stuff

...also make sure you turn off the auto complete options in your browser.

Tom,
Its not my issue really. Its the other viewers that will get this. Since
you mentioned you don't have the toolbar, I'll wait for someone who
does. Thanks anyways

KSL, read again, please. In my replies, I did in fact say I *DO* have the
toolbar. I have the fill-in function disabled, for security reasons.

You're right Tom. I read it "dont have it on" as you dont have it
on..your PC. Sorry about the tood'.

well sort of. I was hoping that I could just use "address1", but it
suggests that I use "Ecom_ShipTo_Postal_Street_Line1". This will work
for what I'm doing, but just too much...and I already have a stand alone
database setup that links to the form.

Just when you think you're almost done ....

KSL, even if the use has the toolbar installed and has auto complete enabled, why are you concerned?

If the user has filled in a form field somewhere on the internet and your form has a form field of
the same name, it will be filled it in for the user, this saves the user time, but also allows the
user to change the info, it need be.
