I was going to ghost a Windows 2000 HD, I added another
disk with a 2K load as slave(will overwrite it), put in my
bootable disk and powered on computer, not seeing the
power cable fell off of floppy. It booted 2K and installed
2'nd HD, but ... The orig.(boot) drive is now D:,and added
drive is C:, I cannot boot orig. drive alone anymore, it
complains about swap space and won't logon.

I fixed my own problem ... This happened to me once before
and I knew the applications ... SO I just re-loaded...
These were custom apps with no backups ...

See Microsoft Q249321 - "unable to log on if the boot
Drive leeter has changed"

Then your system will boot with orig. drive .... but as
drive D:

Then see Microsoft Q223188 -

Whew !!!! - backing up that puppy as we speak
