Good to hear, though it's not uncommon. Send in a dead 20 GB hard drive and
receive a 30 GB back because that's the smallest one still in stock.
Technological progress.

Nice Job ATI.

I'm testing the ATI 9800 Pros in my CAD lab. If these
cards hold up for a year, they've got my business. Sure
beats the crap out of having to buy $3000 CAD cards,
and the 9800 outperforms those "Fire" cards bigtime
in modern CAD graphics ( Solidworks, AutoCAD in
all flavors Civil, Mechanical, Architectural ). And, to
top it off, the Fire cards won't run Far Cry at all. That
is just hilarious.

$3000 for a workstation card is small compared to a $20000 yearly
ProEngineer license. :-)

I hope I will be able to say the same. My new 9800 Pro just died after only
6 weeks use. I had hoped to use it a lot during my holiday time off but
now I have to wait till after the holidays to apply for an RMA.
