Good System Restore advice from Jupiter Jones

I want to post a thank-you to Jupiter Jones, for advising me how to get System Restore back into working order. I did follow JJ's suggestions, but didn't try to use System Restore, because I had no need to. Today, yeah, I did something I hadn't intended to do, and had no idea what havoc I had wreaked on my computer. So I ran System Restore -- and IT WORKED!! Thanks again to Jupiter Jones. from Cheryl
