Hi there,

I can afford a Konica Minolta Magicolor 2400W, but I'd like to know
if it's a good printer or not...

Is it better than the HP Color LaserJet 2550L, which is also very cheap ?

Thanx a lot for any help.

Best regards,

With all color lasers, look closely at consumable costs before deciding.
Some cost more to "feed" thnan yhey cost new.

Make that "with all consumer printers, look closely at consumable costs
before deciding. Some cost more to feed than they cost new."

Actually, ALL of the consumer printers cost more to feed than they cost
new.

This is not unique to color lasers; many people treat inkjet printers as
throwaways. They just buy a $30 inkjet printer at a time, rather than
throw $40 of ink into it.

Depending on your requirement! If you use common photocopy paper (7
g/ sq meter) for ordinary document printing, both of them is same

If you want photographic printing, HP CLJ 2550L is better because i
provides PCL printing language to enhance gray level. Konica Minolt
Magicolor 2400W offers Windows GDI only for text printing language
The sharpness of HP CLJ 2550L will be better than Konica Minolt
Magicolor 2400W

The price of HP CLJ 2550L is cheap, unfortunately, it is old type now
New HP low end printer is 2600 but it does not provide PCL printin
language. I think HP will provide PCL printing language for nex
2650

I had a 2200 which did get through parts. If you are asking about
cheapness the question to consider is how many pages you are going to be
printing. If its a couple of thousand pages a year then go for a cheap
one. If its a couple of thousand a month go for a more expensive one,
generally the more expensive the printer the cheaper the consumables.
