Good idea/Bad idea?

Just wondered if having an "open forum" thread that people could post to or could post for other users, instead of going to a certain thread. Have it as a sort of "open house" for user to gossip on, about what ever someone wants to bring up or say? May be a bad idea, but just a thought, i do have some sensible thought's every now and then

I'd thought about doing something like this a while back, but I think it wouldn't work - it would become more like a chatroom and very hard to moderate I wouldn't be too keen on implementing something like this I have to admit

Well it was just a thought Ian, but can understand it would be hard to police.
