Good Freebie AV?

Seems like some months ago somebody mentioned one that was free for individual
users as a sort of loss leader for the enterprise/commercial edition of the same
product.

I just put a second PC online and would rather not up the confusion ante
w/TrendMicro...

Does anybody recall the name?

Avast is probably the best of the "freebies".

That's debatable, but it is the biggest resource hog.

Turn off the unnecessary stuff. I've got it running, currently using
about 4.2 MB of ram.

I'd take the "free for one year" stuff over the rest of the "freebies".

Good man!! We agree on one thing....lol.

I have used EZ Trust & its free predecessor for some 5 or 6
years....paying for it for a couple of them. It has never failed
me.....Norton has.
