Hi, Does anyone know of a good free forum template that would work well with
frontpage?

I've had a decent experience with...

phpbb2

forum software but don't know any forum templates. Did you do a google
search on that phrase?

Best to you........

Yes, I have searched, the result being part of my education that there are
no templates for forums as such. I have found a couple of packages that I'm
struggling with. I have set up the standard Frontpage forum/ discussion
forms, but these are not very sophisticated. So I suppose I am looking for
some more packages that supply graphics and coding. Thanks for the replies.

I tried freebb with a test site, but found it to be very slow connecting,
and sometimes it would not connect.
I really like the look of phpbb2, and for someone who knows what they are
doing, must be real quick to set up. Can you please advise a site that
explains the set up for dummies. I was struggling a bit with their own
instructions. The ISP is Verio and I could not find details on the Verio
site for server names, what system they are running, DNS info and the like.
With a few snippets of info, I'm sure I could get it to work. Also, I was
not sure what hyperlink address you use to fire up the forum when loaded.

Well phpbb2 has a lot of skins for various looks, etc.
I'm using it on my community site and I'm pretty happy with you.

Best to you........

I'm not sure how to direct you here. My hosting company did the set up for
me so I've not done a manual set up.
It was a feature of the level hosting I have.

To access the forum ....

www.whatever.com/whateverfolderitissetupin/index.php

The admin is web based and it really easy to set the board up.

www.whatever.com/whateverfolderitissetupin/admin/

You will have to have access to a mysql database.

I have some clients that used to use VERIO and they had great difficulty
getting help with anything but they are your best bet for help in any
special needs you haved for set up.

Best to you......

Hey, many thanks. I believe they have a mysql database. This info has been
very useful.
I'll email Verio about the other stuff.
