Anyone know the name of a good benchmarking app for testing
application performance? I want to know how fast an app will
run compared to different PC setups. Thanks!

Unfortunately, the only one I know of is "Performance Test" (Passmarks), and
it's not Freeware. This is a big hole in the Freeware ranks, and I'm open to
suggestions for anything even close to it.

Performance Test has a 30 day free trial, more than enough to benchmark and
compare.

NOTE: If you already own Norton Systemworks Pro, it includes Performance
Test. It's probably called "SI" or whatever Symantec chose to re-name it.

Well, i don't think you'll find what your looking for in a single
FREEware program, however there are several small free utilities, when
combined, that might do the job, satisfactory.
