I am trying to import my Goldmine databases into Outlook
but there isn't an obvoius way to bring in dbase files.
The instructions for Outlook 2000 refer to it
specifically but the 2003 version only has a limited
choice of competitors' software. FWIW, these files could
also be exported in ASCII format.

Thanks, Skip

Try this it is a bit of work but has worked in the past.
Export the Goldmine File:

- With the Goldmine database open, on the Tools menu, click Export Records.
- Click to select DBF File as the Data Format and click Next.
- Under Get Filename, type the path and file name you want, or click Browse
and
select the export location you want, for example: C:\my documents\mydata.dbf
- Click Next twice.
- Click Finish. Goldmine reports how many records were exported and the
elapsed
time. Click OK.

Import File into Outlook

Open Excel. Click File->Open. In the File type list, choose "dBase Files
(*.dbf)"
in the list.

If you can import this DBF in Excel, I suggest you save it as a CSV (Comma
Separated Values) file. Then import this CSV file in Outlook. Can you import
it
successfully? For detailed information, please refer to the following
