Going straight to a particular record when opeing a form

Is it possible to go straight to a particular record when opening a form
withount opening the form at record 1 which flashes up before going to the
record I want.

Most would recommend that you apply a filter using the WHERE argument of the
OpenForm method to display only the record you want. Then it will BE record 1.
