I have been trying to fix my computer for about 3 weaks now. Either I am an
idiot or something is wrong with it. I am not sure if it is the setup,
configuration, whats running or not, services, virus, ect... I have
installed, uninstalled, upgraded, ran scans, and more. As of right now, I am
running XP home upgrade and Norton systemworks 2005 which I just bought a
couple days ago. I have a P4 running on a high speed cable modem. A microsoft
tech told me to uninstall SP2 which I did. Not much help there. I am having
problems with my norton wizards, some update issues, my modem recognition, and
more. I have been trying to be as safe as possible with downloads, scans and
with certificates. At this point, I am beginning not to trust anything. I am
looking for someone smart which I will allow access to my computer through
the net. If you live in AZ, come over, I will wash your car. Will also call
anybody in AZ for help. I need someone to make sure all my settings, apps, and
more are correct, and figure out what is going on. I sit in front of my
computer hours upon hours trying to fix it. My next step will be grabbing my
shotgun and blowing it up. Someone please help. I will be off my computer for
the next 2 hours. After that, I will be back in my normal living position. My
email address is (e-mail address removed) Also, anybody who wants to come over or call,
I will buy the pizza. Thanks,Darren

First, I would recommend a clean installation of Windows XP Home.
This would involve formatting your Hard drive.
Then, install Windows XP.
Then, install XP Service Pack 2.
Visit your computer manufacturer's website and check their Support section
for any driver updates.
Then, install Norton Systemworks.
I can assist you remotely if necessary.

However, these basic steps would be a good start.
