I will be eventually move from MS FP 2003 to Expression Web Designer when its
on sale in UK, and already have the try-out. Big improvement Microsoft! Can
anyone tell me if they know of anywhere where there are tutorials? There is a
very limited Help file with the current release. Would really get to learn
and prepare for the full release.

Microsoft has some webcast out and some others coming up that include
presentations and demonstrations of what Expression Web Designer can do.
Rather than post them individually I put a list up at
http://by-expression.com/web-designer/webcasts.aspx

There are three that have already occurred you can view on demand and three
more coming up September 11, September 29 and October 13. Since they are all
at 1 p.m. Microsoft Time (aka Pacific time +8 from the UK) you can decide
for yourself if you want to watch those live or wait for the recorded
version.

Thanks for that Cheryl. You have answered my earlier thread about the
demise of Frontpage. I have a problem though. My main website does not
use CSS (I know, how backward!) and has over 200 pages. I shudder at
the thought of starting again from scratch as I am not an IT
professional. Do you have any comfort for me here. It seems that
Microsoft is moving away from the domestic market with its software more
and more.

Not words of comfort per se since no matter what the initial conversation to
current standards and CSS is a pain but you have some options.

Easiest is to keep the site as it is and continue to maintain it in
FrontPage.

Next level of trouble, keep existing pages the way they are and creating a
stylesheet that matches the font tags, etc. you are currently using and use
it for new pages. Then as you update pages move them over. That's the slow
but steady method. If you use a DWT for the new pages along with the CSS
that will make the next stage easier once all the pages are updated. This
gives you a gradual transition.

Most trouble but in the end the one I find most satisfying is to do a
complete new redesign and clean all the pages bringing them up to current
standards.

You can use any or all of these methods depending on what you want to do. I
suspect at least initially you will want one of the first two options.
