I've now been using Vista Premium for nearly three months and since the
start its all been problems and more problems. I would very much like to go
back to the trusted Windows XP. Is it just a question of formatting the hard
drive and installing XP or is there anything else I should know before
having a go? I've never been so frustrated in my whole life. You don't have
these problems with Linux!!
Regards.
A very unhappy user.

Boot from your XP cd, delete and recreate the system partition and install.
Then install the needed hardware drivers.

If the computer had Windows XP before, I assume you already know about
the availability of drivers for your computer.
Simply install Windows XP normally.
If the computer originally came with Windows XP, follow manufacturers
instructions for reinstalling Windows XP.

"You don't have these problems with Linux!!"
Then perhaps that is the operating system right for you.
Why ask about going to Windows XP if Linux does not have those
problems?
Windows is not the best for everyone like Linux is not the best for
everyone.
