Go to Tools, Options, Other, Advanced Options, and then
in the first box, select Inbox as "Start up in this
folder."

go to help and type or past in

"Control what happens when you start Outlook"

Thanks. I had that set up correctly. Problem was, we're using an IMAP mail
server, so I had an "Inbox" there and another one under "Personal Folders".
This is the one that kept opening and it was always empty, so couldn't see
that it truly was going to the "Inbox" folder. I set up a message rule that
automatically moves all incoming from server "inbox" to local "inbox". Was
this the right way to handle it or should I have taken a different route?

Thanks again for your help!
